Thank you for your interest in the Brookings School District. On this page you will find the basic steps for new student enrollment and online student registration (current students), as well as, links that will be helpful throughout the process. - Parents who are new to the district may start the registration process using the "Online Registration for New Students" link. (Note: OLR cannot be completed using a cellphone.) If you need assistance completing the application call the Registrar at 605-696-4724.
- Next you will need to make an appointment with the Registrar. The registrar's office is located at 2130 8th Street S in Brookings. Use the "Make an Appointment with the Registrar" link to choose a day and time.
- Parents whose students are currently enrolled in the Brookings School District will use the Parent Portal to update information, give permissions for the current school year and add a new student.
- Effective July 1, 2016: SDCL13-28-7.1 Requires all students entering 6th grade have one dose of the Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine on or after the 11th birthday: AND one dose of Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine on or after the 11th birthday. Talk with your health care provider to determine your child's immunization status.
NOTE: Elementary school assignments (K-3) in the Brookings School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian or the school assigned though an out of district open enrollment request. All students in grade 4-12 will attend the center for their grade level. Click on the "Boundry Map" link and enter your residence address to determine a student's assigned school for grades K1-3.
