  • The Purple Comet! Math Meet is a free, on-line, international, team mathematics competition designed for middle and high school students conducted annually since 2003. This year our BHS team consisting of Serena An, Samyok Nepal, Joseph Park, and Tristina Ting placed first in South Dakota and 9th overall (out of 1480 teams) receiving an honorable mention. Great Job!

  • The Brookings School District will be hiring part-time workers for the summer grounds crew.  The position would involve assisting the grounds department with care for district grounds property during the summer such as mowing lawn, weed eater, and other lawn care jobs.  If you are interested, please apply online by clicking the “employment” tab on the district webpage.

  • Prom, grand march spectator tickets, and post prom tickets will continue to be sold during lunch and after school. Friday after school is your last chance to buy prom and post prom tickets. Grand March spectator tickets will be sold at the door at Swiftel.
    Doors will open at Swiftel for audience seating at 5:30pm on Saturday and Grand March will begin at 6:30. Please see Mrs. Plowman in room 503 with any questions.

  • Those students who have requested a dual credit college course for the fall of 2019 make sure you get registered now!  Check the high school counseling website for information.  See Jinny in the counseling office if you have any questions.  FALL CLASSES FILL UP FAST--DON'T WAIT TO ENROLL FOR 2019-2020 ACADEMIC YEAR.

  • Juniors who are interested in a dual credit course (college level) for the summer of 2019 must go to the sdmylife page for registration information.  Registration for summer courses are not being taken on a first come first serve basis.  Talk to Jinny in the counseling office if you have questions.

  • The Mr. BHS pageant is taking place next Monday at 7pm in the BHS bell auditorium! Come watch your classmates, dance, performs talents, and answer on stage questions in this all male pageant! It will also be a fundraiser with all proceeds being donated to the Children's Miracle Network, so bring $2 to get in! Hope to see you there!

  • This week is Homecoming for the Arts week! Show your spirit and support for the arts by participating in the spirit days! Tomorrow is Club T-shirt day, so wear a t-shirt of one of the clubs or organizations you are a part of. Thursday is future college or career day: wear college apparel, or wear something to represent your future career. And last, Friday is Bobcat apparel day! Show your school pride by wearing black red and white! Also, don't forget we are having a school wide assembly on Wednesday at the end of the school day! Happy Homecoming for the arts week Bobcats!

  • Prom, post prom, and grand march tickets go on sale starting Tuesday, April 23 and will be sold Tuesday through Friday at the kiosk at lunch and after school. Prom tickets are $20 and post prom party tickets are $10. Spectator tickets for the grand march are $4 and can be purchased at the kiosk or at the door. Check out the hall TVs for more info.
