Welcome to Dakota Prairie Elementary!  

We are thrilled to have you as a part of our school family! At Dakota Prairie, it is the people that make our school special. All of us are committed to ensuring that every child is engaged in rigorous learning opportunities that ignite creativity, cultivate thinking, strengthen physical and mental wellbeing, and enhance their whole learning experience.

In this upcoming 2022-2023 school year, we will continue to use Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This approach promotes school safety and good behavior. With PBIS, we teach our learners about behavior expectations and strategies as a prevention, not a punishment. We teach expectations for every common area and reteach as needed. 

You and your family are your child’s first teachers! Your expertise, insights, and active involvement are critical as we work together to do what is best for each learner. Again, welcome to the Dakota Prairie family!
