I grew up in Mankato, MN and attended high school at Mankato West, home of the Scarlets. Following high school I attended South Dakota State University majoring in Physical Education, Teacher Education while also competing for the Jackrabbit Cross Country and Track & Field squads. Following graduation in 2007 I began teaching Wellness and coaching Cross Country and Track & Field in the Brookings School District. In 2012 I gained my masters degree from SDSU in K-12 Educational Administration. My wife Lauren, son Otto, and our pooch Bokeh enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors, and cheering on the Bobcats and Jackrabbits.
