Brookings School District Families:
Given the recent updates and official statements from Governor Kristi Noem, the Brookings School District will be closed for daily operations through the end of the school year. However, the district will provide remote learning beginning on March 30 and will continue with remote learning until May 20.
The District urges you to practice social distancing by limiting outings and group gatherings. Further, we urge you to practice good hygiene by washing hands, wiping handles, using hand sanitizer, and avoid touching your face. Let’s work together to prevent the spread of COVID – 19.
During this time, the Brookings School District will be offering free meals and meal delivery on days following the school calendar. Please see the attatchment below for more information on meals and meal delivery.
The Brookings School District Administration Building will be closed to the public during this closure, please call 696-4700 to contact the Administration Office.
Brookings School District will use this page as a resource for the public to help them during the COVID-19 situation. We ask that you practice social distancing and stay home if you feel ill. Please check this site for updates and resources.
Brookings School District Administration is working with state educational entities and the public health departments to determine the best ways to be prepared for the COVID-19 situation.
