Thank you for your interest in the Brookings School District.  On this page you will find the basic steps for new student enrollment and online student registration (current students), as well as, links that will be helpful throughout the process. 1. Parents who are new to the district may start the registration process using the "Online Registration for New Students" link. If you need assistance completing the application call the Registrar at 605-696-4724.

2. Next you will need to make an appointment with the Registrar.  The registrar's office is located at 2130 8th Street S in Brookings. Call 605-696-4724 to make an appointment. Note: Kindergarten students who participate in the screening process do not need an appointment with the Registrar.

3. Parents whose students are currently enrolled in the Brookings School District will use the Parent Portal to update information, give permissions for the current school year and add a new student.

NOTE: Elementary school assignments (K-3) in the Brookings School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian or the school assigned through an out of district open enrollment request.  All students in grade 4-12 will attend the school for their grade level. Click on the "Boundary Map" link and enter your residence address to determine a student's assigned school for grades K-3.
