Kim Ristesund, 4th Grade Teacher at Camelot Intermediate School
Ms. Ristesund teaches 4th grade and has been the absolute BEST this year! She has been flexible, encouraging, supportive, yet firm with my learner. She brings a level of wit that creates a fun environment for her students and has allowed my son to really connect. You sense her many years of experience and her ability to focus on what matters most and what is most relatable for the 4th graders.
Ramsey Zeller, 12th Grade Student at Brookings High School
A student sitting next to Ramsey in class experienced a serious medical episode. Ramsey reacted swiftly and appropriately by physically helping the student get into a safe position on the ground and also calling 911 for immediate medical attention. The school crisis team was also called immediately but Ramsey already had an EMT on the way within a minute of the medical episode. Ramsey communicated efficiently and calmly to the 911 dispatcher and was extremely helpful in getting the student medical attention. We are very proud of Ramsey!
