Classroom Curriculum  (ACES)

Lessons are taught to all grades levels, preventative, developmentally appropriate, and address academic, career, emotional and social growth. 

Small Group Counseling

Using a psycho-educational model, small groups help students reflect on their experiences, recognize they are not alone, and enhance relationship, intrapersonal, learning & behavioral skills.  Parents are notified when their child is selected to participate.

Individual Counseling

When appropriate, the school counselor meets with individual students on a short-term basis.  These sessions can be for planning academically or of a social/emotional nature.

Community Resource Referrals

promoting positive attitudes among students towards self, family, peers, and school

presenting classroom activities and lessons for all students

coordinating state testing programs

counseling with students individually and in small groups

providing support during personal crisis

identifying special needs of students

coordinating efforts with other school specialists

helping to create a safe school environment where children can learn

working with at-risk students

leading the Knights of the Round Table

mandatory reporting of child abuse/neglect

collaborating with administrators, faculty, and support staff in meeting students' needs

coordinating referrals to outside agencies and law enforcement
