Kate Mogard - Principal

Welcome to Hillcrest!

I am honored and excited to be joining Hillcrest as your principal for the 2025-2026 school year. I am an educator with over 20 years of experience in education - most of them in Brookings. I have worked at Central, Hillcrest, and most recently Dakota Prairie. I am looking forward to my return to Hillcrest - I know what a truly special place it is!

I am passionate about creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for every child. I look forward to partnering with parents, families, and the community to create the very best opportunities possible for our learners!
