Attention Junior Parents/Guardians and Junior Students,
Despite not having school today, we will proceed with ACT testing tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, for all juniors.
If your child will not be able to attend tomorrow, please call the Brookings High School Main Office as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. (605) 696-4100
This year the ACT is serving as the state assessment for all 11th grade students, and the State of South Dakota is covering the cost for every junior at no expense to families. This is a great opportunity for our students to complete a nationally recognized college entrance exam during the school day.
Testing will take place from 8:15 am to approximately 1:15 pm.
Student effort on test day truly matters. ACT results can play an important role in postsecondary admissions and scholarship opportunities, while also providing valuable information about academic strengths and areas for growth. We encourage all juniors to take this seriously and give their very best effort.
Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 am, so students must arrive on time and ready to focus. Please help your student get a good night of rest this evening.
Water and snacks will be provided during testing during testing breaks.
Once testing is complete, juniors will be dismissed for the day. We will share any additional details as needed.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help our juniors succeed.
Sincerely,
Zach Thomas
