Parents and Students,
Due to the short week next week, our schedule on Tuesday, March 10th will be a block day, periods 2, 4, 6, 8 & SRB. This change is to help accommodate the three-day week and to ensure teachers and students are having equitable time for each period. Please communicate with your student about potential changes to their day to ensure attendance to these periods is met.
There are NO changes to the schedule for Monday, March 9th or Wednesday, March 11th.
A reminder that the end of 3rd quarter is Wednesday, March 11th.

BHS | M. Paige’s class hosted a “Pie Day” and invited special guests to join the fun! 🥧 The students were especially proud of their beautiful lattice work and cinnamon-topped apple pies.

BHS HOSA is hosting our second Science Saturday for K-5 students on December 13th, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Children will not be able to participate if the form is not filled out. Parents will be responsible for drop-off and pick-up. Parents' attendance is optional; however, at least one adult will be present in each room as a chaperone, accompanied by multiple high school HOSA members. Utilizing five high school science rooms, HOSA members will create fun Winter-themed activities for children to participate in. Activities include: Instant snow lab, snowstorm in a jar, igloo building, medical case investigation, and a holiday movie room! Please bring your child to the west entrance of the high school. HOSA members will be there to accept payments and check your child in. We can’t wait to see you there! See this link to sign up:

BHS | The Certified Nurse Assistant class welcomed Bobcat alumni Ramsey Zeller and Maddie Kern (’25)! Ramsey shared her CNA experience and demonstrated a Hoyer lift with Maddie as her “patient.”

Brookings High School 2025 graduate Ernest Ting has been named as a U.S. Presidential Scholar, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students.
Ernest graduated in May with a 4.24 GPA and was actively involved in Cross Country, Swim Team, Orchestra, and Track and Field. He was also very active with the BHS Science Olympiad, Math Counts teams, and Debate Club. This fall, he began studying Information and Data Sciences at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he will also compete in track and field.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, established by executive order of the President in 1964, recognizes the country’s most distinguished graduating seniors for their academic achievement, artistic and technical talent, and community service.
Brookings High School is proud to celebrate Ernest’s accomplishments and wishes him continued success in his academic and athletic pursuits.
