We kicked off our "Follow the Bobcats to Fill The Bus" Donation Drive with some amazing BHS leaders: our Homecoming Queen Anon Zokou, our back-to-back International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) finalist Anika Hooda, and Student Council Members Nadalee Gerjets & Tyanna McClemans.

This week, we’re celebrating National School Psychology Week and recognizing the vital role our school psychologists play in supporting the success and well-being of all learners. Thank you to Nicole Anderson (Hillcrest & Camelot), Kelli Olson (Dakota Prairie & BHS), and Lauren Gruenhagen (Medary & MMS) for their dedication and impact across our district.

BHS | Interior Design students are gaining real-world experience! 🏡 They heard from local professionals at designArc Group and toured a new spec home with Best Choice to learn about careers in design and construction.
BHS | The Certified Nurse Assistant class welcomed Bobcat alumni Ramsey Zeller and Maddie Kern (’25)! Ramsey shared her CNA experience and demonstrated a Hoyer lift with Maddie as her “patient.”

Ernest graduated in May with a 4.24 GPA and was actively involved in Cross Country, Swim Team, Orchestra, and Track and Field. He was also very active with the BHS Science Olympiad, Math Counts teams, and Debate Club. This fall, he began studying Information and Data Sciences at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he will also compete in track and field.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, established by executive order of the President in 1964, recognizes the country’s most distinguished graduating seniors for their academic achievement, artistic and technical talent, and community service.
Brookings High School is proud to celebrate Ernest’s accomplishments and wishes him continued success in his academic and athletic pursuits.
Reminder: Noon dismissal on Friday, September 26th for the Homecoming Parade taking place at 2 p.m., Downtown Brookings. Lunch will be available prior to dismissal. See you there!

BHS | We are beyond proud to celebrate Joseph Michna and Waylon Lowe, two seniors named National Merit Semifinalists in the prestigious 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program!

We are better together. ❤️Glad to have you back!🖤 Have a great year, Bobcats! 🩶
