We met our goal of 8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ bobcat bucks for saying OK right away! Learners have been practicing saying OK and doing things right away, because that is the Bobcat way! Staff each had a goal of identifying learners who were compliant throughout the day. The tracking system that we used was displayed for all students to see and updated throughout the week. The learners enjoyed watching the "box of chocolates" with the staff images in it turn from black and white into color to indicate that the staff had reached their goal of handing out 200 bobcats to students caught being compliant. To celebrate our success held an all-school assembly and invited the SDSU Spirit and Dance Team. Students got to watch the performance, have special time with the athletes in their classroom, and receive a sweet treat and sticker with Manners Moose saying OK! Some learners who had a bobcat buck drawn that morning also got to meet the athletes 10 minutes before the performance to chat. All classrooms enjoyed a Q & A session with dancers after the assembly, and great conversations were had.
Thanks to SDSU, to Mrs. Holm for all her planning, and to Jacob Olson for printing the wood stickers. 💙💛

James, a third grader at DP, has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare muscle disorder. As his muscles become impacted, James now requires specialized equipment and home modifications to meet his needs.
His family created a fundraiser to help with these expenses. If you are able to support or share, it would mean so much. Thank you for continuing to show kindness and care for one another.

Please have your child come to school with all of their winter gear (coat, hat, gloves, etc.) due to the cold morning temperatures. It’s especially helpful if they arrive already wearing their winter gear, as this makes the morning transition much smoother for them. We can always adjust layers as the day warms up. Thank you for helping us keep everyone warm and ready to learn!
The Dakota Prairie PTA will be hosting a family dance at the school on Friday, January 23rd from 7-8:30pm. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's best dance moves!
This event is free, and PTA will be providing glow sticks.
