The Brookings School District is proud to announce newly selected administrators at Mickelson Middle School and Brookings High School for the 2026–2027 school year.
Please join us in welcoming Matt Christie as he transitions to Principal of Mickelson Middle School. Chris Gruenhagen has been selected to serve as Assistant Principal at Mickelson Middle School, and Travis Engebretson has been selected as Assistant Principal at Brookings High School.
We are excited for Matt and Chris as they step into new leadership roles, and for Travis as he moves into administration within the district. We look forward to the continued positive impact each will have on our students and school communities.
