BHS Science Reno

Brookings High School has reached an exciting milestone as construction on its newly renovated science department is officially complete. On Friday, October 30, Mills Construction formally turned over occupancy of the renovated space to the Brookings School District.

The completed renovation brings updated science classrooms and improvements to essential classroom infrastructure, providing enhanced learning environments for BHS students and staff.

Throughout construction, science teachers and students demonstrated patience and flexibility as they adapted to temporary learning spaces. Teachers utilized available classrooms throughout the building, with some moving instructional materials between multiple locations during the school day.

The Brookings School District extends its appreciation to Mills Construction and CO-OP Architecture for their work throughout the renovation project. Special recognition also goes to Brian Corlett, District Facilities Supervisor, for his dedication and assistance throughout construction and the transition process.

With construction now complete, the District looks forward to welcoming students and staff into their newly renovated science classrooms!
