
05/20/2025 WEATHER-RELATED ACTIVITY UPDATES | Due to the field conditions and weather forecast, the softball games originally scheduled for today (May 20) at Brookings have been postponed to Friday, May 23 - Varsity at 2:00 with the JV to follow.


BHS | On May 11, Logan Smidt, senior guard for the Bobcats, played in the South Dakota All-Star girls basketball game at the Sanford Pentagon. Smidt scored 14 points in a 93-80 win for Team White over Team Blue.

It is with great pride and excitement that we announce the offering and verbal acceptance of our head coach position for the BHS Bobcat Boys Basketball Program by one of our own, Joe Frederiksen! Coach Frederiksen is a current boys' basketball assistant coach for BHS and has 20 years of coaching experience. Pending school board approval, Joe will lead the Bobcats into the 2025-26 season and for many years to come. Congratulations, Coach Frederiksen, and Go Bobcats!

Activity Updates: SOFTBALL VS PIERRE - The softball games vs Pierre originally scheduled for Thursday, April 17 in Pierre have been postponed due to weather concerns. The varsity game will be made up on May 2nd or 3rd in Sioux Falls at Sherman Park with the time to be determined. | MS TRACK AT WATERTOWN - The MS track meet originally scheduled for Thursday, April 24 in Watertown has been postponed due to construction issues. A make-up date has not yet been determined.

BSD Families: There is a high police presence near the Middle School and Boys & Girls Club. The event is unrelated to either organization, and we are directly communicating with Law Enforcement.

BHS | Brookings FFA had a record-setting State Convention, earning state titles in Ag Mechanics, Floriculture, Meats Evaluation, and Horse Judging. Josie Nold was named State FFA Vice President, and the chapter was recognized as the #1 FFA Chapter in South Dakota.
